The Crest of Kindness from season 2 was corrupted by darkness until Ken realized the pain he had caused the digital world. The Crest started to shine, and became the Crest of Kindness, which was its true form.

no it's from Season 4 and it can get a little complex because season 4 decided to have their digidestined be able to turn into digimon but they had to have the spirit statue of the digimon to do it. and instead of having to constantly digivolve they would just Slide evolve which allowed them to change between spirits aka digimon forms without having to go back to their human form and transform again. now the villains who were digimon also had this ability. however Each spirit represents a different level of digimon.

Speaking of season 4, how was it? I've caught clips of the show, and a movie based on the season, and the idea looked alright, but I never sat down and took the time to watch it.

it's the LAST good season of Digimon. I still Like season 3 the best but Season 4 is pretty good
