It was a rainy night, 9 :00PM on the dot, when granny Chelsea (fruitypop) entered the room of her two grand children. Toshiro, 7, and Omega, 5, who waited to be tucked in by their grand mother.
“Off to bed, childs” she said with her shaky voice.
Omega twirled around the room before running to her bed and jumping in the sheets. As for Toshiro, he was already in bed, reading a Manga. He rolled his eyes while putting down a novel of the Melancholy of Haruhi whatever by his side.
“A story !” exclaimed Omega to her grandmother as she tucked her in.
Her grandma kissed her forehead and looked at her with a smile before moving on to Toshiro.
“Very well... What story should I go on and on about?” she thought out loud.
“Who cares? It’s gonna be corny and will suck anyway!” Toshiro grumbled as he was tucked in.
Granny Chelsea slapped him behind the head.
“This story will be that of treasure hunting and fools, treachery and vengeance… We will start our adventure with a young blacksmith named David and…”
“Oh brother” Toshiro mumbled while crossing his arms on his chest, rolling eyes once more.
“David, 18, was a young blacksmith working in his own shop in the small town of Port Royal, on an island located somewhere in the vast waters of the Caribbean. Life was hard in the 1700s for the poor young man who sprung from a poor family. Mother and father had been both at odds with each other for years and David took on the responsibility of being a man at an early age, concentrating solely on work to provide for his family. He perfected at his art, which lead him to be praised by clients all over Port Royal and beyond!
Ah yes, David had done well for himself, being a happy-go-lucky, always cheery lad and was proving to be quite a man! However, one thing lacked from his life: a steady girl with whom to share every enjoyable moment he could find! And there was such a girl! The governor’s daughter: the young, shy, quiet Melina, who people affectionately called Momo. David, who had done work for the Governor himself, meet Momo 3 years ago. And for 3 years, he thought only and always of her, even when he slept with the town whores.
So to make a story short, one day, Port Royale was attacked by an English fleet, their flags raised exposing themselves as pirates. One of the ships was recognized as the Darklight, which belonged to the notorious and evil Captain Dirty James. The pirates ransacked the town, and kidnapped the Governor’s daughter. The English army couldn’t do a thing. Many died. It was pretty sad…” said Chelsea while raising her head up as to find recollection of such sad feelings.
Toshiro’s eye twitched. “This is like bad PotC re-writing…” he muttered.
“SHHHHHHHH!” shushed Omega as she looked at her brother in anger, telling him gently to shut the fuck up.
Granny Chelsea went on:
“And our story starts here… The young and brave David responds to the Governor’s call to find the governor's daughter...”
Fade to Black from Granny and kids.
